Happy Veterans Day to all veterans who have served or are serving in our military. Today is a day we stop to remember your sacrifices that you have made for this country. Today I especially take a second to remember my grandfather, Riley Scott Agnew, a Navy corpsman during WWII.
He landed on the beaches of Iwo Jima during the initial invasion of Japan during WWII. These were the men and women of the greatest generation. Those that stormed guarded beaches in unknown lands for reasons they were too young to fathom. Today is your day.
Now, as I serve in the United States Army, I cannot comprehend what these men and women felt or went through.
